I like it too, but overall, I lean towards Rid of Me.

Up there w/ "Rid of Me" when it comes to albums of hers I like most.
"This Mess We're In" is a great mix CD track

The chick on the front page of cnn.com looks a lot like PJ harvey.

Great album. When it was released it was one of those times when what was happening in my personal life was mirrored almost exactly by the record.

If not her best, its certainly right up there.

If only her last album were half as good....

Great album. She has been remarkably consistent in her career. Even her last album was not terrible. It just suffered in comparison with the rest of her stuff.

Comes in handy:
Dad, my scholastic career is not really terrible, it just suffers in comparison to how well I did in kindergarden.

Honey, my sexual performance is not really terrible, it just suffers in comparison to how well I did it the first time we slept together.

The last two songs are the only duds on the album. I switch it off after 'This is Love' and it's stellar.

'Big Exit' is such a great opener.

Yep, Stories From The City is her best album. My second favorite is probably Is This Desire? Flood worked his magic on that one.

That reminds me, I should pick up Uh Huh Her sometime this month.

Is This Desire? is my favorite, but Stories has slowly surpassed Rid of Me as my second favorite. Certainly one of the top 10 albums of the decade.

um... you mean the Pope?

Yeah, some peeps thought it sounded to pop and/or commercial when it came out, but I think it could easily be her best.

I'm very surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for uh huh her. What is it about this album that you guys don't like?
