I've heard conflicting things about the new disc. What's the word from CMJ/Obners?

Well I never liked him.

Guess what my advice would be?

Stacey, can't speak for it myself, but Spike and J.J. went to go see his show at The Vic, maybe a week before you got to Chicago, and they said the new material was surprisingly good.

I bought it used a while back. Have barely touched it. I listened to it once and there's not much that sunk in immediately.

It's not that good. Not bad, but not good either. Like Kit alluded to---nothing memorable about it. I do agree that the material was much better live. I saw him a few weeks back, and he has toned down his antics significantly. It was a great show(the older material was better though).

Thanks everyone. So the maybe-pick-it-up-if-you-find-it-cheap-or-used-but-don't-expect-anything-groundbreaking-though-seeing-him-live-is-pretty-decent is what I'll go with here. I still like Hour of the Bewliderbeast, but haven't been blown away by anything since then.
