I'm buzzed. I'm tired. I'm home. Went to a birthday party. And I saw a great show tonight!

Ok, who the hell are American Minor? Nice long haired boys from West Virginia that play southern rock. That's all I know. But, dammit, they play that southern rock well. You east coast southern folk know anymore about 'em? As a btw, while the band was on, a couple of The Dears were right behind me, rockin' out with the rest of us. They ain't too cool for school!

The Dears...god damn it. They are so fuckin' good. Yes, I know that I saw 'em perform at the Amoeba in-store, but tonight was so much better, the sound so much fuller. You can tell they're having the time of their life. Good good stuff! And what is usually a snobby LA crowd, they too fell in love with them.

TSOOL rocked it hard! God, I love these guys! I had just seen them about a month ago and wasn't certain I was gonna go to tonight. But, thank goodness, I did. They were fantastic! I truly think they don't get the recognition they deserve, but whatever. All I know is that I like 'em and that's all that matters to me!!

I just heard TSOOL for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I'm really getting into them. I'd love to see them live.

I've seen the Dears a couple of times and know exactly what you mean.

That must have been a great show. I'm glad you had a good time, Tania!

I can't believe it's 5AM. DST Sucks!

So the songs from the new record come off well live? I like the new album, but it hasn't quite connected with me like "Behind The Music" did.

Smafty - they're REALLY good live.

Sounds excellent! I'm also interested to hear how the new TSOOL songs came off live.

IMO, the new stuff came off really well. And the audience seemed quite receptive. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the new songs to tell you which ones they performed.

Charlie, I'm listening to their new album now. I'll give you an opinion later today. Thanks again!

Btw, these are the rest of their tour dates:

4/3 San Francisco, CA / Great American Music Hall
4/3 Acoustic Instore - Amoeba Records 2 pm
4/5 Seattle, WA / El Corazon
4/5 Acoustic Instore - Tower Records 5:30
4/6 Vancouver, BC / Commodore Ballroom
4/10 Indianapolis, IN / The Vogue

I also know for a fact that they'll be doing an instore appearance at Tower Records Hollywood on Friday, April 8th. And a secret show at the Viper Room on April 7th.

Forgot to add the following horrible photo taken with my phone:

Btw, I'm quite smitten with the guitarist, Bjorn, who is incredibly sexy!!

And the damndest thing is I can't really figure out why. As it plays, it's an entertaining enough record...but when's it's over I'm like "eh". I know another new album's coming soon - hopefully that'll take care of it.

i only saw them once, opening for a friend's band called Dragstrip Syndicate. had sort of a similar impression, the music's not generally my thing but they rocked it.
