This is definitely more raw, but a good example of how they expanded there sound.

Did they send you Bryan Adams's latest instead of Pet Sounds? They did that to me.

when i was a kid and i blindly asked my dad to order things through the cd catalogues for me, what was packaged and pressed as pearl jam's "ten" was actually the early "best of aerosmith". it was bizarre.

I got a disc called "The Magic Organ" from them but I can't remember what was supposed to be in the order in place of it. It was all organ, all the time. It was really horrible, but great fun to play for people when they weren't paying attention. It doesn't take long before the all-organ, all-the-time sound wears them down and forces them into asking "What the HELL is this?!" BMG didn't want it either, so I got to keep it and got whatever it was I was supposed to get. Probably traded in for something else long, long ago, but I still have "the Magic Organ." That's quality weirdness right there.

good listens so far..

"heroes" is as good as i'd expect from that era of bowie

"atliens" is about as good as "aquemimi" and shows their growth

"black sheep boy" is probably my new favorite okkervil river album. there's an addition edge that rocks a little more.

Good luck with "All Hail"... May many more MG albums find your favor...

i'm definitely liking "diamond dogs" the most of the 3 bowie albums.

i have the mountain goats last two albums (not counting this year's). i like 'em enough to keep goin' back (in time) for more.
