Weekend was pretty nice. Beautiful weather down here these days.

Went to see comedian Brian Regan on Friday at the Roxy. Consumed a heroic amount of whiskey.

Saturday chilled and nursed hangover with about 7 hours of couch time and football watching. Washed car.

Sunday- a little yard work, trip to the record store.....picked up new Razorlight and the Features used for $14. Waking up on Sunday without a hangover is soooooooo freakin nice. Saw the Incredibles last night. Thumbs up. Not going to change your life but for my $8 it was solid entertainment. Good date movie.

To sum up my weekend with one word: Restful

I was in Florida from Thursday till last night, visiting the Grandfolks. It was cloudy everyday, till I stepped on the plane yesterday.

Had lots of great seafood and Italian meals, and re-hashed the same stories night after nigh cause my grandparents forgot they told them a million times before. I don't have the heart to tell them.

Bought some new sneakers and a sweater.

Yeah, it was party time (excellent) for me!

my weekend was half good and 1/4 bad.

friday i went to a show with a few local bands. the punk kids were told to stop dancing by a relatively cool security guard and they refused so he kicked their spiky haired 18 year old asses out on the pavement. it was sorta cool to watch but the band had to stop their show because of it and that sucked. i feel so old.

saturday i was the dj at a party and it turns out that everyone there was going to cater to one girl's needs and likes and dislikes so me and my friend were treated like shit and i flipped out at everyone and left in a hurry. i even stopped 'pump it up' in the middle because everyone was being a twat.

sunday was awesome and i had a few friends over for a pot luck dinner which turned out to be awesome.

so basically i figured out who my true friends are this weekend. and it turns out that they cook some pretty good food.

it was on campus and they have to keep that shit to a minimum.
and when i say dancing, i'm talking about punk kids running around and bumping into each other. you could call it moshing if you'd like.

Had my midterm performance yesterday. Didn't feel very good about how it went. Got drunk later. We get our critiques tonight.

Now that looks like a good weekend. I'm a weekend rider, mostly at Wissahickon Creek park, which is part of the Fairmount Park system in Philly. It's actually really good riding, which is crazy b/c it's within the city limits. It gets very rocky though, and with all the rain we got this summer there's been a ton of erosion. I have an '02 Fisher Sugar 3. I need to ride more.

Someday I will ride out West, that looks amazing.

friday night - hung out with kids and made all kinds of food preperations for daughter's soccer tournament on sunday.

saturday - drove daughter and friend to newburyport to shop and eat dinner and hang out. they listened to the best of disney cd's in the car all the way there. this made me want to poke my eyes out. stayed at a hotel where we all ate too much crap food.

sunday - special olympic soccer tournament all day and for the first time in six years the weather was gorgeous. no long underwear, no rain and no snow. great day, met a lot of wonderful people and saw people i only see once a year at the tourney. daughter's team ended up with a silver medal in their division. they were ecstatic.

nice time.

wilco kicked my ass on saturday night. hearing the new songs live reaffirmed to me that a ghost is born is the best album of the year, if not the past few years.

yesterday was the low point for this miami dolphins fan. i wish the season would just end already so we could clean house.

Good weekend. Busy though.

Spent friday night hanging out with Charlie. Saturday was Matt's wedding.

And yesterday was getting our home back in order which has been a disaster for weeks. Re-arranged furniture, cleaned, cooked dinner, etc. Then watched Simpson's and the rest of the Fox lineup. Drank a bottle of wine. Made my husband happy. Went to bed.

Now I'm off on mondays as they decided to close on mondays for a while where I work so I get three day weekends. YAY So once I get moving I"m going to Target, then I"m going to veg the rest of the day.

Friday, after my aforementioned dismaying trip to the record store, I was forced to stay in ATL by traffic, and the fact that my friend who drove didn't want to have to take me back to Redlandsthen just turn around and drive back. Turned out well enough. Went out in Little 5 Points for dinner and many rounds of beers, and got to spend time with some friends I rarely see anymore. Just a basic random drunkfest. Very nice.

Saturday, watched the game (a 62-17 open dismantling of Kentucky, setting the stage for next weekend's big showdown w/ Auburn) with some friends in N. Atlanta, then came back down southside to go to Bloor's dad's 60th birthday/low country boil. That was fun and very entertaining. I still say you learn much more about a person when you get to know their family (siblings espec.) I then went and met a some girls I know who work in a bar, and ended up drinking until around 2:30. I have no Idea how many Jager bombs were consumed, but highlights include a girl bringing a potted tree through the middle of teh bar because she wanted to show it to me, then us making out for a while. (got the digits, too)

Sunday, woke up feeling major death. I don't think you are supposed to consume 5 or 6 cans of Red Bull in a night, and my arms felt weird, I thought I might be having heart palpitations...nonetheless I decided that hair of the dog was in order, so I drank a few cocktails, then me and Bloor went and met some friends and watched football, and then the race. Home to watch The Wire and fall out.

Great weekend, all in all.

wow, you guys all had fun... I was merely productive.

Friday night- drank myself into a nice little haze with my husband and neighbors. Stumbled home.

Saturday- raked leaves (in the morning) and put primer on our kitchen walls (in the afternoon/evening)

Sunday- painted all damn day in the kitchen (and that was only the first coat-- one more coat on the way)
