for those who want to understand the roots of what is happening in the world today, here is a fantastic documentary EVERYONE should watch. its called the power of nightmares and it was broadcast on bbc2 before the american election. it covers the roots of the neo conservative movement, the islamist terrorist movement, and their interaction with eachother since after the second world war.
part 1 | part 2 | part 3
these documentaries are about an hour each, so be prepared. i would also recommend to anyone who wants to delve even deeper to read future: tense, a book recently published by gwynne dyer. its probably the best political book ive ever read (and ive read a few). also, this is not just for progressives or conservatives. everyone needs to know about this. there are too many americans that are in the dark. hell, 56 percent of americans think that iraq had something to do with al qaida.

I'd rather have George Bush as president than Real Player on my computer---is there a different format for this? sounds interesting.

yeah, i feel for you. real player on windows is a piece of crap. but, i can offer an alternative. download this. its called real alternative. it downloads the codecs it needs to play the file, as well as media player classic, which is a great little player that will play lots of stuff. i used it before i switched to mac and it works beautifully. i cant remember if you have a mac too, loogar. if you do, you should think about downloading real player. it works MUCH better on macs than it does on windows. another alternative you can try is the bbc version of real player, which is what i use. i dont really know the difference between this and the regular version of real player, but its supposedly crap free.

No thanks... with the Shiavio follies, Delay being a dick (a needing to honestly be booted imo), and the Pope dying (you know you're a shitty ex president when the Bush familiy picks Clinton over you Jimmy Carter) in the past few weeks, I'm not in the mood for another conspiracy theory, much less courtesy of the BBC because we all know they don't have a fuck'n agenda.

and real player sucks.

this is not a conspiracy theory, this is the roots of the politics that are playing out today.
