His name is Katsu.
He came over from Japan just a few years ago and speaks with a thick accent.
He is also a jazz harmonica player, and is just finishing recording an album with a friend of his -- mostly standards with a few originals sprinkled in.
I just heard a couple of tunes for the first time and he is a-ma-zing. One hell of a talented player. Their version of "In a Sentimental Mood" literally gave me goosebumps.
Amazing how people can surprise you sometime. Helluva nice guy, too.
EDIT: Apparently, he once jammed with Ron Wood at a local blues club. Cool.
