ducky - i was just listening to it today and i was *positive* i'd either heard pavement/malkmus rip it off or do a song ultimately very similar to it...and then i got to thinking that it would be such an ideal song for pavement (in particular, recent malkmus not so much) to cover on record and live.

ahhhh drowning.

specifically the semi-off-kilter riff and the over-emotive stylings on the vocals, which seem right out of the SM playbook.
