i just read in the newspaper that Pierce Brosnan was in high-level talks with the prodctuion company, Eon, to reprise the role as James Bond. It was said that all the talk abuot replacing him was a "ploy from both camps". Apparently Sony didn't want to take a risk on a younger actor.

While I'm sure that there is someone else out there capable of taking on the role, I can't seem to think of them. Brosnan at this time in my mind is the only reasonable way to go (if he'll do it).

All I know is that I wouldn't want to see the role going to Colin Ferrell

i've never seen any bond movies but i loathe brosnan. he just rubs me the wrong way, same with christopher walken, cant stand them.

having never seen a bond movie all my perception of him comes from trailers and references to him in other movies and shows, but after seeing closer and sin city i think clive owen would be awesome as the bond i know

i do think it's time to move on to another actor. pierce brosnan has done his share. it's just that i'm having a hard time seeing daniel craig as the next bond.

i've been on clive owen's bandwagon since croupier and have thought he'd make a great bond, but he's said over and over that the role doesn't interest him at all. i just hope he gets back to those bmw shorts.

how can you have a preception of the "bond you know" having never seen a Bond movie?

In a turn for the weird Sean Connery is actually set to reprise his role as 007... for a video game. The same company who got Brosnan in on last year's acclaimed title has Connery doing voice over for a video game remake of From Russian with Love.

i'm buying it the day it's released.

Disliking Chris Walken is like disliking air.

"Breathing really annoys me. I think I'll stop."

At the very least it's like saying you don't drink because being drunk isn't fun.

Anyway, I've always thought Adrian Paul was the natural choice for Bond, even though he's already in his 40's. Moore was in his early 40's before he ever took the role. Paul would be perfect for the role.

If not Paul, then Julian McMahon. He'd be the second Aussie to play Bond.

I think Clive Owen would make a fantastic James Bond -- verrrrry sexy and suave.

I think Daniel Craig deserves a chance.

yeah, i keep debating this myself and i guess i could see him doing fine, but that first movie will make or break him, obviously.

the thing about pierce brosnan is he was in the running to be bond when dalton got his shot, so everyone pretty much knew that brosnan would be next. and now a lot of people were leaning toward clive owen, so it's just a surprise that daniel craig is apparently now bond. i love this series, even though the last few haven't been up to par, but i'll go see anything with 007.

It would have been funny if they'd shaken the whole system up and had Colin Salmon be Bond. A black Bond. I know he already played Charles Robinson in several Bond films, but he could do the role. Plus he's got a bunch of years of being a TV star back home.
