I'll be there with a bunch of people, but I was hoping there would be a show or something.. but I will figure it out... probably just sit in the hotel bar and drink..ahhhh

The only thing I have to do that weekend is the tasting on friday (well, and sunday is mother's day so I'm also committed to at least a meal with the folks then). I will scout out some shows for us to hit and we'll see if we can drag toddy out of the burbs to join us.

dang, I'm gonna be in town that weekend, but I'm bringing a buddy, and going golfing on sat morning, moving stuff all weekend, then hosting a poker night for some of my buddies, then driving home on Sunday.
I will be too busy and too tied down with guests to get out.

It looks like I will miss my only opportunity to "hook up" with you as Matt put it.

They actually expect me to work at this place. This year has kicked my ass.. once I have tenure I am not going to do a thing.. not one thing. Ill be sporting my sweater vests and rubber velcro shoes like mad.

Todd and I are looking at Thursday night. The only shows that are happening are

1) Electric Six, VHS or Beta at Logan Square (meh)
2) Melt Banana at Abbey Pub (strange venue for a japanese band like this)
3) Adam Green and the Gnomes at Schuba's. Robotboy may or may not still be playing second guitar with the Gnomes, I'm not really sure.

We could also hit a flick up at Century Mall. They always have a lot of great indie cinema there.
