Not I. I'm surprised I manage to drag my ass out of bed and get to work most days. And on weekends, I like to sleep in.

I annoy people in the morning.
I'm pretty damn chipper.
Sorry.
But really, it doesn't happen the moment I get out of bed, so I chose Option 2.

Wake up early, but it takes a while to get the gears moving.

I'm option two as well, I've got Kramer's internal alarm; Same time every morning, unless booze is introduced. I'm fairly chipper, but don't go overboard. I might be different than most in that I don't drink coffee or tea at all to get going.

I have been 'on time' to work maybe 5 times in the last 6 years...Thank god for lenient bosses, and allowing me to work late.

Not a morning person but I do like to be up early occasionally especially in the summer. If I'm sober that is.

Loogar and I had a convo about this a long time ago concerning getting up and just being lazy in general. The conclusion was something along the lines of:

Why stand when you can sit, why sit when you can lay down, and why lay down when you could be under the covers with the AC turned down to freezing and pouring soup on yourself while watching a Real World Marathon?

i only wake up early in order to go to work early in order to come home as early as possible. otherwise, i'd sleep in to at least 10am every day & work from home.

We started going to bed at single digits these last few years. Like 8:30 sometimes in the winter, 9:30 at the lastest most nights. I feel soooo much better the next day if I do.

I'm definitely a nocturnal creature. I love to sleep in. And if I do wake up, I love to lay snuggled under the blankets until Mickey (dog) begs to go outside. Though, I have a freaky way of waking up for work. I need at least 30-60 minutes to "wake up", so I set the alarm (sits across the room) for 5:20am. I'll finally start getting ready for work around 6:15-6:30am. Problem is I only get about 5 hours of sleep at night.

Do you find it easier to "wake up" the next day...?

Yes. Much, much easier. It was hard to get over the inital feeling of "missing out" on something, but getting married pretty much took care of that anyway. Now, the first 3 minutes is hard, but then once I'm vertical, I'm "me" in no time... functional, aware, and not drowsy. Coffee helps too.

I took option 3.

Three-five days a week depending on the week my son wakes me up around 6:30. That doesn't mean I'm happy about it. I'm usually rather crabby as all hell. Otherwise I lay in bed as long as I can, and having kicked caffeine last fall really really sucks.

I'm always in a rush on fridays when I work early but always manage to make it to work on time.

Josh on the other hand, will hit the snooze button about 5 times each morning and then fifteen minutes before he has to leave gets up, showers and throws his clothes on. I don't get how he does it. Some days I have to jump on him to get him out of bed.

If you have children, you may never sleep in again.

Ahh not necessarily true. If you have only one child and they are above the age of 6, it is altogether possible. Thanks to saturday morning cartoons.

I won't know that feeling for at least the next 6.5 years then, haha.

Edit: because it will be that long until my youngest is 6. ;)

I have to get up early to avoid Massholes on the Pike. Being a commuter sucks. Luckily for me, most of the idiots also sleep a little later.

On the weekends though, I fall into category 3.

I used to have that strategy, but they installed timeclocks...
now I'm in early 3 days a week or so, and I have the damnest time waking up...

If it weren't for Dickie Barrett's annoying voice/banter, I'd never make it across the room to turn off my radio alarm...

Depends on the weather, time of year.

During the summer I usually leap out of bed pretty early. During the winter I just want to hypernate completely.

I would much rather sleep in and stay in bed for a long while after I awaken in the morning, but when I must wake early, I don't mind.

Warning: DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, ever attempt to wake me up in the morning. If I *ever* get married or move in with a significant other, I feel sorry for him.

I have trouble waking up early for work, and on weekends I don't get up til about noon. Summertime, I will wake up early just to hit the beach, but I'll just sleep all day there. Wintertime, I never want to get out of bed.
