Oh sure, Canada gets all the love they can handle, but there's not ONE midwest gig? PA doesn't count, neither. That there's Yankee territry.

Any chance that's a partial list?

Come on....West Coast gets no love, and you're asking for more midwest dates?
Heartbreaker needs to get his ass back to Los Angeles again, pronto...

You worry about the left coast. I must concern myself with Cheeseland. And 2 canadian dates beats none anywhere within 600 miles of here.

I see your point, but this damn country is pretty huge. He comes to Toronto plays, heads 350 miles north to Montreal and he's out of here. Not having a Vancouver date is pretty sucky. A Calgary date would be nice too.

Roses for Ryan Adams
April 5, 2005

Ryan Adams is inundating the indie scene with releases in 2005. Next month, the angsty singer-songwriter is set to release a double album, Cold Roses, with his back-up band the Cardinals. There are also solo releases on the way from Adams this fall. Perhaps with all that music-making, Adam’s role as 1/2 of the coolest alterna-couple ever fell by the wayside: he and girlfriend Parker Posey split recently. Cold Roses comes out on May 3rd.

ryan adams is indie and angsty?

i really need to update my superlatives

Six of those dates are no more than a five hour drive from me.

I really like the new single.

These are probably the only cities left where the local free weekly hasn't insulted/made fun of him and he didn't feel the need to stop playing and rant for about 30 minutes in the middle of the show, break wine glasses on stage, call out Paul Westerberg and Jeff Tweedy, talk about how Tegan and Sara or the Stills are the best musicians in America and basically do everything except play a show.

Yea, I guess I hadn't kept up on that so well, but I guess you won't be moving to Asheville then?

I loved his music until I saw him live. It's like he's the only one in the place who doesn't realize what a dick he looks like.

Yeah. dude was all set to pay me massive sums of money and I was all set to take them. Would have been the #1 targetted race in the country for the Dems to pick up a seat (unseat an incumbent Republican) and Jocko (literally, it was Former Tennesee Quarterback Heath Shuler) decides his kids and his family can't take the strain of 1 1/2 years of fundraising and campaigning.

Oh, and Jimmy -- that's all part of his charm ;)
