I just picked it up this weekend and I'm digging it alot. I know it's been out for 7 years and I'm a musical moron, but I'm glad I'm listening to it now. I never see any Mogwai discussion, so I thought I'd see where the board sways. What do you think of Young Team?

Young Team is pretty good, but I don't really listen to Mogwai anymore. If I'm in the mood for the bombastic post-rock thing, I'll take Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Yume Bitsu, or Do Make Say Think.

But for Mogwai, I'd say Young Team and the s/t "EP + 2" are the best.

I'll give it a full obneriffic... Very few bands can step to Mogwai, especially on what might very well be their best album...

What do you mean we never talk about Mogwai? You've gotta stop clicking on those political threads and read the music ones!! :P

'Mogwai Fear Satan' is one of my fave tunes ever. And if you look at yesterdays NP thread I had 'Happy Music For Happy People' on the ole stereo.

Really? I've never seen it mentioned outside of the np: thread.

good good shit, but only 3/4 in my book. couldn't quite take the hardline stance and give it full obner status
