If you haven't seen this movie then you really, really should check it out. It's playing on IFC tonight and probably for a while more. I just wish they could've gotten more Paul "Wine" Jones footage.

Cotton, have you seen "Last of the Mississippi Jukes"? I was dissapointed, this sounds better, but i don;t get IFC

i have not. Is it about Kimbrough's joint?
this is more or less a view of Fat Possum's existence up until a few years ago and definitely answered a lot of the questions i would've asked the two guys that run the label as well as the artists. It's insane to see the footage of Asie Payton or of R.L. Burnside and Kenny Brown at their first gig together in a backwoods shack in the 70s. I dunno, more than anything i suppose this movie is testament to the shit these people go through in life and what it's like to be a blues musician in this day and age. Also, Cedric Burnside is the best drummer of the last two decades.
