But you like 'em anyways.

Lambchop.

Nobody cares. Yet I'm still listening.

I love Lambchop in small doses for some reason. Never can take them for an entire album.

The New Radicals

They weren't doing anything new or groundbreaking, but the songwriting was brilliant for what it was. I still listen to their album on a monthly basis.

Even less "important," but I still like them: June Of 44, Judgement Of Paris, Magnet, Mojave 3, Moviola, Rachel's, Tullycraft, The Prayer Boat, Dirty Three, Eels, East River Pipe, Dump, Fatima Mansions, From Good Homes, The Folk Implosion

Saw them open for Vic Chesnut at the 40 watt around 1997 or so, before I'd ever heard of them. It was really powerful, in a slow, quiet way. They managed to make the 'Watt seem intimate, instead of dark, sticky, and musky. Good band.

silverchair i guess? ive loved them ever since their first album and love them still. not always the most groundbreaking band, but theyre still so young that theyve got a lot of music to make and oppurtinities to become a more distinctive group.

It's a parody thread

"important" is in quotes

thread is ironic

these are bands that aren't of late babbled on about as having been seminal-influential-pavement-blah-blah

they're all ones I love

"important band" is a concept that can't be qualified

Etc.

I knew the thread was a joke, but even jokingly referring to some of my favorites as "less important" than Lambchop calls for a fight at the bike rack at 4. Don't bring any friends.

Edit: You and LooGAR were in my dream last night. You were both wearing red suits and we were bowling.

The Senator and the 'Spoon in matching red suits? Since they're both heftier guys, I am imagining the kegling outing must have been like rolling with two Capt. Kangaroo impersonators.
