I'd like to buy one Dinosaur Jr. and one Super Furry Animals reissue today. Which ones would you buy? Eventually, I'll buy them all but I want one of each for today.

Dinosaur Jr.
Dinosaur (1985)
You're Living All Over Me (1987)
Bug (1988)

Super Furry Animals
Fuzzy Logic (1996)
Radiator (1997)
Guerilla (1999)
Mwng (2000)

*Have they reissued Rings Around The World and Phantom Power as well?

Also, what do you guys think of Caribou's new album?

Radiator & You're Living All Over Me are the best from each. Surprises me that you like D Jr, though. I wouldn't have guessed that they'd be your thing.

np: Bobby Womack "Stop On By"

You know, I was shocked too. I had heard some tracks from the greatest hits album and really liked what I heard. Especially the older stuff.

You're Living All Over Me is the best of Dino's old stuff but Bug is really good too. Since it's your first purchase, definitely stay away from the Dinosaur. It's good but probably the hardest to listen to.

I just picked up Bug and love the hell out of it.

Guerilla will be out next week, the other three are in stores now. Flip a coin between Fuzzy Logic and Radiator - they're both great. I've still yet to warm up to Mwng.

Those aren't being reissued, only the "previously unavailable in the US" discs. Don't forget that Outspaced was also reissued - a b-sides disc so good you wouldn't know they were "just" b-sides.

I'm the kind of guy who will just by the reissues of the SFA albums and keep my old ones as well. I have the radiator with the spaced out included so i'm not giving that up and My fuzzy logic was an import so i'm not giving that up. I already have two versions of MWNG. I bought one at HMV while in England in 2000 and have the 2 disc american version. I'll end up with 50 SFA albums and duplicates before i leave this world i'm sure (5 copies of each).

at least some of that money goes to a band like SFA.

I hate to say it, but I'm not as impressed with the quality of the b-sides as I'd been hoping, perhaps I was spoiled by the greatness of the Outspaced b-sides collection. I traded in my old ones, so it's not like they cost a lot, but the difference could have been used on something that I'd likely have been more impressed by . . .
