This guy no more cares or believes any of this shit than any of you. It's called politics. It's called Alabama has a gay marriage referendum coming up (thank Got it's primary day, and not the day of the general) and it's called the Republicans think they have a shot at taking over the state house and state senate. Its called them trying to turn this election into Jesus vs. The Faggots, because it works so well.

Open your eyes.

Doesn't mean that it still ain't bullshit D. In fact, if by your rationale, it's even worse than bullshit because he probably doesn't even believe it which makes it just cold calculated prejudice that plays to the bible beaters.

It's beyond bullshit, and this dude, John Giles and Fred Phelps will all end up in a pit of hell under hell, where forcible sodomy will look like a walk in the park. I hope these dudes are ready for an eternity of gash-fucking, cos that's what's coming.

I just wanted to pr-empt any "Of course this IS in Alabama" talk.

That's clever. It's like you renamed a pile of dog shit, and now it doesn't stink.

Well I think we should protect our children's hearts and minds and souls from.... (think, squirrgle)... any music that is "un-christian." So from now on, any music that uses bad language or promotes anything I-I mean "we"- deem un-christ-like, will be banned, but I don't consider it censorship, because my pollsters tell me that's a bad word. So I'll call it "protection."

We have this section geared toward and written by High School students in the newspaper I work at. This kid absolutely stole the show with his piece on what a waste of time Henry James is. It was fucking hilarious.

Well, see, that's the thing....If it gets out of committee, it'll probably pass unanimously, because if you vote agin' it, you are going to be bludgeoned with the stick of supporting homosexuals and their 'radical agenda.'

But, they have other problems in MGM, its just that this dude knows the media loves a good "Look at the dumb Alabama Rednecks" story. And this dude knows it will galvanize support against Faggots, and by their supporters by proxy, Democrats. Welcome to the Funhouse.

So this is actually a good illustration of the mechanics of divisive politics? By that I mean that when people deny being divisive (and who wouldn't?) when they really are, this is how they go about doing it?

Yes. This is nothing but an attempt at a wedge issue from a no-account state rep. in a safe district, trying to bait people into supporting something to use it against them in teh future.

This, ina nutshell, IS politics.

Well, the key to getting people to realize this, IMO, is to use the idea of "FREEDOM" but redefine it,or define it in terms that are more conducive to Dem issues.

I can't believe that people that are so paranoid about folks coming and taking their guns will just give up their free speech or 4th Amendment rights, because "Only faggots and bad guys need those amendments"

And what's the litmus test for deciding whether a deceased author was or wasn't gay? Autopsies, DNA tests? How do they keep track of it all?
