I wish I had a t-shirt that said "Drinking, Boating, and the Law" on it with a picture of a cartoonish fiery boat crash.

That would rule.

For real though, what are some perfect Mother's day gifts because I need to do some shoppin for maw.

Excellent, but be warned: the "She lives alone, she drinks alone" one isn't as empowering or as funny as i'd expected. HOWEVER who wouldn't want the Stevie Wonder "Before I'll get in the car with someone who's been drinking, I'll drive" poster for dear old ma?

my mom is dangerously close to getting a black metal shirt, size small. then i just have to take the last one to the thrift store and see where it ends up. other than that, anyone got any last minute ideas better than flowers and rum?

I'd personally like 16 hrs straight to sleep, and someone else to feed, clothe and take care of the child for that 16 hrs.

Also:

Something to kick my metabolism up a notch, a chocolate mousse without all the fat and calories, a good bottle of red wine, some new clothes, my bills paid off, my son to be happy and healthy forever, my husband's music career to take off even more, several of my ex's to disappear off the planet, and last but certianly not least- one night of uninterrupted, fabulous sex with my husband.

Those are my Mother's Day wishes, or what would make the perfect gifts.

YES! This is awesome even outside the problem-drinking context.

I thought you were giving the big one to Blaxl. Come on man, that's much better than thrift store. It may actually end up in some Black Metal fan's hands if you do that.

Oh, my mom's getting a bike tire. For her Dodge. it'll work as well as those donut spares.

"If you're under 21, we'd like to have a word with you."
