So if you may or may not have noticed I posting again regularly starting last night. Thing were looking up with good news over the weekend with the possibility of staying in the Los Angeles area. Then we heard the bad news of someone in the family dieing.

So the Cure has been talked about because of these raved re-mastered CD’s, I have to get Faith ASAP. Posting on message boards about why they are the best band in my lifetime, outside the Boo Radleys. The start of that was with the release of The Head On the Door. "Close To Me" might be the perfect pop song.

Then night falls and: Well a phone call came in tonight and my brother got arrested over the weekend. So death, arrest, and now moving. The plan of staying has fallen through and I’m probably moving back to San Francisco. After being there for seven years, I never wanted to go back but really loved the place. Kept my apartment, just in case something happened and it has. See I have fallen in love with Southern California this time around. When I came back, three years ago, I had the time of my life. Had an unbelievable sex life and remembered why I loved this place. I’m much more of a Northern Californian but…

So I’m back but I will be gone again very soon.

np: the Cure – Bloodflowers

"No the World is neither fair nor unfair
So Some survive and others DIE
And you always want a reason why
But the world is neither fair nor unfair
It’s just us trying to feel that there’s some sense in it
No, the world is neither just nor unjust"

Bloodflowers is my favourite Cure album at the time of this writing.

In fact, Out Of This World may be my favourite song by The Cure...

Bloodflowers is vastly underrated but hardly the best. Seventeen Seconds thru Wish are sooooooo much better. Well outside The Top that is. Play, listen, or acquire The Head On the Door album and you will see what I mean.

All those songs from Curiosity, an amazing live album with a bonus songs on cassette, have shown up on the second disc of these remasters. Pornography has benefited the most or so I have heard.

edit: What the hell am I talking about Three Imaginary Boys is also amazing and puts that other one to shame.
