Uhm...why exactly would you want a hooker? I mean, aside from the obvious, can't you recruit a friend or something?

At night the street that Glasgows main Post Office is on becomes a major pick up point for prostitutes at night.

So I'd been reading in the library till quite late and I had a some stuff to post so I headed down to the Post Office. As I arrived at the post box a prostitute emerged from the shadows and said "looking for business?" to which I replied "not unless your selling stamps".

It was funny at the time...

...and still is.

I've given it some serious thought. The one thing that keeps me from actually going for it is some assumption that I will feel even worse/lonelier/more guilty afterwards. On the surface, though, it seems like a much more authentic transaction than dating and singles bars.

The only female friends I can think of that might be willing to give me a mercy jump are married. Not going there. I just get a sense that most of my ladyfriends see sex as too big a risk for the friendship, and I'd agree. If someone can share how they managed it and got it to work, I'd be happy to hear the story.

I can't say that I have, but once I saw a prostitute "looking for work" in the parking lot for a Ponderosa Steak House and paintball facility in Gary, IN.

i've never done it myself, i do see them frequently. they come to the antique district of west palm beach to get picked up by wealthy, probably married men driving jags.

my wife and i saw a proposition goin' down last sunday morning while entering a local diner. a junkie couple were walking, then the girl crosses the street while the boyfriend keeps walking. a car approaches and turns down the road that she is walking down. while she walks up to the car, my wife and i wave to them as to say "good morning neighbor!", and the car speeds off.

This sounds more like an escort to me. Most of the streetwalkers around here are hardcore junkies, usually heroin, sometimes cocaine, not uncommonly both. Pretty Woman it ain't.

Now on the other hand, you shuffle down to DC there is apparently a plethora of massage parlors that are more than willing to go the extra mile, or if you are feeling randy, you can head over in the area of 14th and K streets and test your luck on the "Is It A He or a She" prostitution Plinko. Course, you may actually end up feeling Randy in that case.

our old neighborhood corner was notorious for the tranny hookers. on more than one occasion i was able to sit on my porch and watch the pickup/moment-of-revelation/return dance play itself out.

Well, my shit is in the place, and i just got my bed set up last night. This weekend will be a good time to get shit in order.

What I really need to do is a change of address at my bank...

Or can my billing address and the shipping address be totally different when I order my black metal pizza T?

good to hear that you've gotten through it relatively unscathed. moving is hell. so far as the shirts, i really don't care about them matching; paypal's processing the credit card anyway, so i should probably just remove the billing address altogether... so yeah they can be totally different.

If I may offer one nugget of advice, put everything away even if it's in a place you don't think it will stay. I'm notorious for letting boxes sit for months after moving in.

Moving sucks. Possibly the worst voluntary act one can do. It's nice to have a new place but the act itself is horrible.

This year will be the first time I have lived in a place for more than a year since college. I will say that moving that often really lets you know what shit you need and what shit can just be thrown away because I simply don't want to haul it.

Back when I was in college there were areas of Flushing, Queens where in the midst of residential homes/neighborhoods bordellos existed. From the outside they just appeared to be family homes. The girls were all asian and were basically prisoners-tricked in to coming to the US for a "good life/opportunities".

Also in college I interviewed a prostitute for a sociology paper. I was so paranoid-knowing with my luck the one prostitute I approached would be a cop and I'd be arrested. So, I approached a bunch of them saying-"I don't want to pay for sex!"

I then found one that would go for an interview. I payed her for her time and over lunch(which I bought) she answered about an hour of questions.

This ties in to my "meh" reaction to strip clubs... both just sorta make me feel sorry for the gals involved, which doesn't mix well with horny. Couldn't do it.
