find yourself extremely liking a song that never really grabbed you before? I've been going back to Interpol's "NYC" off the Bright Lights album over and over the past couple of days. It's got it's hooks in me deep.

Post any tracks that have had this effect on you, I'm curious to hear.

Weird. As soon as I read your question and before my eyes caught the word "Interpol" in your next sentence, I thought of the album "Antics".

That whole album was like that for me.

Another big one that in department for me was "Lunch Hour Pops" on Broadcast's Ha Ha Sound. I actally quite disliked it at first and then later really got into it.

A.C. Newman's 'Drink to Me Babe, Then'. In fact, the whole of Slow Wonder is doing it for me right now. When it came out it was kinda 'meh' for me.

This has most recently happened to me with 'The Rat' by the Walkmen.

This is probably true of at least one Ike Reilly song at any given time.

Also, I listened to "Black" by Okkervil River at least 5 times yesterday...

Just today "Everybody Pays" by Mark Knopfler came up on my random shuffle, and while I have always thought Shangri-La is his best solo album, I guess that particular song never stood out so much as it did today. Absolutely perfect.

Count me in on this, too. I only wish the songs were longer, but I guess that might be part of the appeal- that they're so short 'n' catchy.
