Excellent show. Got a chance to talk to Kevin afterwards about some of the older stuff, religion (and the uselessness thereof), etc.

The set was pretty much all stuff from "Satanic Panic" and "Sunlandic Twins" and it was pretty much a raging dance party. There were a few spots of indie stoicism on the floor, but most people knew what was up and were just getting down. He pretty much played the first 5 or so songs from both of the last two albums. As much fun as "Wraiths..." is on the CD, it is 800x more so live.

If they're coming near you, go see him. It's a lot of fun to watch the bassist nail those cartoony lines.

Cool show. How were Tilly and the Wall? I really enjoyed a song I heard of theirs.

haha...i only bring it up because he made a point of bringing it up for his encore. played "the christian song" after telling the crowd that he grew up catholic, so he was a recovering catholic, and depressed. whatever.

tilly and the wall were great. the tap-dancing chick was on top of her shit, and the band was clicking very well. i enjoyed the sound, it's just so melodic, singsongy, nice. nice, fun people in the band too- two of the girls (tap-dancer and one of the vocalists) were on line to use the bathroom and were supposed to start their set in a couple of minutes and were begging people to let them go in front of them, and so many bitches just straight up denied them, at which point i offered them my place in the men's room line, if it the facilities were satisfactory. they took a look and turned me down.

as for you tania, i have been finishing my semester up. between 17 hours of classes and 30+ hours of work a week i haven't been wasting as much time as i'd like online.
i just took my last final this morning, so i should be around more.

I'm going to be seeing Tilly and The Wall for the 3rd time this year, when they open for Rilo Kiley a 2nd time this year next thursday in Omaha. My younger brother knows Neely (The tall girl singer), so most of the people I am attending the show with are big fans. Neva Dinova is also playing this show, so I am familiar with all the bands after seeing Jake Bellows and Jenny and Blake at the bars multiple times during the recording process here in Lincoln.
