Absolutely r0x0red me from my finals-induced lethargy. Four Tet, button-pushing laptop-geek though he may be, created an intense, hypnotizing, set that mashed up and remixed his songs in a way that left them recognizable without making me wonder why I didn't just stay home and listen to the cd.

When Caribou started I was a little wtf - the vocals were canned while everything else was live (on the first track) - but as soon as they got going I couldn't leave, as much as I had been planning on it. Katie and I just kept saying "ok, ONE more song" until they walked off the stage. Even if you're not too into Snaith's albums I'd recommend the show.

The Junior Boys opened and were solid too, but the keyboard guy was too cool to do more than sway imperceptibly, and they didn't rock my knickers off quite like the others.

were they playing together? Autechre has a show starting right after Caribou's early show here and checking that out might fuse my skull.

They were playing on the same bill, yeah, but not actually "together." We didn't catch the Russian Futurists at all - what are they like?

I don't know if I could take an Autechre show. I feel like after awhile it would be like doing trigonometry.
