Peter Gabriel recently uploaded an unreleased demo from the 80s called "This Is The Road" to his website. You have to create a free membership account for his Moon Club to download the mp3, but it only takes a few seconds and you don't get any spam.

what sound quality is the mp3? 192kbps or higher?

He's always working on an album, but he's rarely finishing an album! I think it was in Q sometime back where Daniel Lanois confessed to literally locking Gabriel in a studio closet and not letting him out until he'd finished a song lyric he was supposed to be working on.

That story is true. The song that you are referencing is called "In Your Eyes," which went on to become one of his biggest hits.
