I have to go back a few years for this one:

I would have to say that it would be sitting right in between my conservative christian mother and father during the movie Magnolia when Tom Cruise is saying, "Respect the cock; tame the cunt". I think, to make myself seem innocent, I asked my father, "dad, what's a cunt?" I don't think I fooled him.

Hit me with you people's most uncomfortable. Not embarrassing or humiliating, but uncomfortable.

This goes back to when I was 19 years old. I had just finished my first year of school and home for the summer. There was this was really hot girl that had just graduated from my highschool that wanted to date me. I decided to call her up for a date, she said yes.
We went hiking and came back to my place for dinner, nothing big, just a pizza. As we were eating pizza, I got up for a moment to get something (I think it was a napkin or something), and as I sat back down, as soon as my ass hit the couch, I blew a fart.

She said nothing...

I said nothing.....

I was dying in the inside....

Shortly after, I took her home and we did'nt see each other until 7 years later at a bar. She approached me and we talked for about an hour.

Neither one of us talked about the fart.

So I guess you can call this uncomfortable and embarrassing.

I was at my sister's house once and she had ordered some food to be delivered. So she's in the bathroom and the doorbell rings, so I go and answer it and there's an asian guy standing there with a bag so I yell to my sister "Hey your chinese food is here!" and the guy looks at me and goes "It's not chinese food."

Oops.

The time my girlfriend and I went to NC to visit her friend. We slept on a pullout in the living room. Being NC it was a pretty hot night so at some point in the middle of the night I kicked off the blanket. I was awakened my her friend's sister who said something like "You look cold; let me put this blanket back over you". She seemed to be blushing a little bit and it took me a second to realize that I HAD THE MOST GODAWFUL MORNING WOOD EVER. By some miracle a pokethrough did not occur - I must've picked the right boxers to wear.

(This would make a great intro to a Penthouse Forum letter...)

I don't have uncomfortable moments because I'm a perfect human being living in a perfect world.

I got offered this job at a really good magnet high school in chicago my third year teaching. The dean who was in charge of hiring was African American. She offers me the job and then says, we need our male african american students to have a young, strong, African American example such as yourself, blah blah blah. And I didn't know what to say being that she was black and I am not, but she thought I was. So i took another job, that I really loved, teaching orchestra in a burb.

At one time I worked in asset management and was picked to go on a Young Executive Training Course. Yeah, I know, you know it's going to be a disaster already don't you?

Anyway I can't rememder exactly most of what happened that day (it's been repressed) but the finale was we all had to go to a different department of the company from the one we were employed in, get shown round, ask questions and then write a speech about how the goings on of that department affected our own.

I got sent down to the department and the show-me-round guy came up and said "Hi, I'm...." it was at this was the point I lost all interest in the task. It's boring, who cares? Do I give a shit? So I just followed him around, nodding politely and thinking about what albums I was going to buy at "home time" with my Young Executive wage.

Occassionally I'd get that twin dialogue in my head. "Don't you think you better listen to this guy, your going to have to make a speech in front of alot of people" to which I replied to myself "Nah, I'll wing it." It's weird how much confidence I have in my winging it skillls when experience says otherwise.

So when it came to the speech I did wing it. For about 25 seconds of the alloted 5 minutes. Then I talked some fractured generic nonsense for a while untill I ran out of fractured generic nonsense. After that I stood there for about 40 seconds not saying anything. I have to say that was quite an uncomfortable 40 seconds. Then the co-ordinator asked me to leave the podium.

Catching my parents "doing it" when I was a kid and then having my Dad want to discuss it the next morning.

Oh, will the nightmare never go away?

Here is mine.

So this girl who lived with a friend of mine right across from us sophomore year in college had been known to "take it in the butt"on seperate occasions from these two black guys who also lived near us. It was a running joke obviously to everyone who knew. Fast forward 1 year and this girl still lives with my friend. My friend has a barbecue, which was host to another friends (Jesse's) 2 black friends from HS visiting from out of town. So after the barbecue we are driving to the bar, and I was kind of drunk in the passenger seat. Although this "butt" girl lived with my friend I didn't see her much, and was not accustomed to hanging out with her. As a result, in my drunkenness in the passenger seat, I say to my friend driving "How much do you want to bet _______ takes it in the butt from one of Jesse's friends tonight". My friend gave me this god awful look, which is when I realized ________ was sitting right behind me in the car. I totally forgot she was there.

I have a few, but one that springs to mind is when I was at my old boss' condo a few years back. I had a little incident that resulted in clogging his toilet and staining the rug at the foot of the toilet. I doubt he will ever let me live it down. What's weird is that a little over a month beforehand, I told him that I have this fear of clogging people's toilets. He thought that was ridiculous. Showed him.

This is a great story too. I love it when this stuff happens.

Dude, bump. Come on folks. I know that you people here have some uncomfortable moments to share...

I was sitting in the living room with my parents, watching Dan Rather or Tom Brokaw drone on about something (which at the time didn't involve Iraq) and suddenly there's a full screen close up of a girl giving a guy head which lasted all of a few seconds at most but was quite embarassing especially when my mom missed that moment and wanted to know what happened. I can't remember what my dad's response was but I remained silent.

Handcuffs- she was really into bondage which I obviously was just fine with, but as her parents entered the room, I had this moment of "do I unlock her, put my pants on, or try to talk to her dad". I did none of the above and stared at them like roadkill in its last living moment.
