I know its been asked before, but that's what we do here ask the same questions over and over. So how much?

I'm going to bidding on an ebay auction that expires today and I need to feel better about putting in a high bid.

np: Cesar Mariano & CIA "Sao Paolo . Brasil"

A single CD?
About $30.

It was some British or Japanese import of something that wasn't available over here. Can;t remember what it was, though...

But I'm sure that I got it at THIS place.

We call him "The Bad Boy" because he's ALWAYS got some hard-to-find thing that you want, but you are ALWAYS going to pay OUT THE ASS for it!

I'll tell ya when the auction's over. I doubt anyone would bid against me but you never know.

I've gone $45 before but that's highest. I'm guessing this one will go for more and am trying to determine just how high i'm willing to go. Its less a value question as I'm sure it can fetch more but a question of my being able to justify a large $ on one cd.

on a single cd?

i remember in high school i spent like $25 on Keith Moon's solo album because it was an import and possibly out of print at the time. ugh.

also, i spent $40 on a springsteen bootleg from the mid-70s, but that was totally worth it.

$90 for Portable Life by Danielle Brisebois.

Only 500 promo copies were ever made and it was never commercially released.

An average everyday CD here is like $25.

The highest I've probably paid for a normal CD would be about £18 or so ($35-$40). I've bought boxsets and doubles that would have been more.

For a CD - probably about $30.00 (Canadian)

Vinyl is a different story, I think I paid about $50.00 for my British first pressing of "London Calling". Probably close to that for a Brit copy of Stone Roses first album.

I think I paid $25.00 for a copy of Joy Divisions 12" single of "Atmosphere"

$25, but that was a 3-disc Kinks reissue. The most I've paid for a single disc was $21 for The Sound From the Lion's Mouth.

Wow, is that how much that goes for now? Is it out of print?

I've paid around $25 for a few different imports, and that price usually included shipping. I recently paid that much for The Pop Group - Y, and The Hafler Trio - Kill the King. I don't think I've ever paid more than that.

With shipping, about $25 for stuff from Australia/NZ.

Vinyl, on the other hand...
