Lungfish Return With 12th LP In 17 Years, Realize They've Released Alot Of Albums
Baltimore, MD quartet Lungfish have been going strong since 1988, holding the mantle for one of the longest running units in the history of the East Coast underground scene. The group will release their twelfth album, Feral Hymns, this June on their home for the last 17 years, Ian MacKaye's Dischord Records. The band's previous release was 2003's Love Is Love, which was my second experience with Lungfish (I had purchased 1997's Artificial Horizon after a friend recommended it) and overall an enjoyable affair. Feral was recorded earlier this November with Tim Green at Louder and was mastered by mastering master John Golden at his studios. Lungfish have not set any summer tourdates but are reported to be interested in playing a couple shows in Spain later this summer.
