...with Ray Lamontagne. Goddamn, I cannot stop listening to it. (Thank you, Tentoze!)

PS -- Can anyone hook me up with some Rachel Yamagata? I wanna take some of her tune-age to Scotland with me.

I am, but for some reason, I can't access your files. It's probably the same sort of connection problem I have with Colinswood. Something about my TCP ports.

That song gets A LOT of play on WMMM here in Madison. It seems to me that I'd be more into it if I were to see a show. Some friends of mine went recently and they said it was one of the best shows ever. But until then, something about that song turns me off. Don't know what it is.

Maybe you've heard the song too much? That can happen sometimes.

And yeah, I've heard fantastic things about his live show as well.

Slightly raspy voice, bluesy, folksy singer/songwriter type a la Damien Rice, Patrick Park, Alexi Murdoch, Sufjan Stevens. Anyone else care to add?

I have yet to hear these comparisons but I think they fit:

Ted Hawkins style and voice, but less gritty
I hear a little Cat Stevens in their too, style wise not preachy wise, that could just be that Trouble song though

Anyways, a keeper for me and I found it totally by accident the other day whilst buying new Spoon. Never heard of him before so I spot checked him right there and dug the quickie samples. A double whammy of a day I say.

That gives me a pretty good idea, and it sounds like something I'd probably like. Thanks.

I saw him a few months ago. So good.

I went alone, but the last song he sang (Can I Stay) made me want to make out with the guy sitting next to me. Find that chick pronto.
