This day is soooooooo fuckin' slow! Started with a meeting, got a nice bonus plus free movie passes. Looks like I might be able to get that new computer after all (though, still no trip to Montreal), ate lunch and it was downhill from there. We're having a company bowling night, which should be fun -- can't beat free drinks, right? But, sheesh...4:12pm...two hours yet to go!

Shit, I wish I could go back 2 hours... so I have time to finish all the crap I have to do. EVEN with not taking a lunch, still not enough hours in the fuckin day!

Hey, Dri, are you gonna see The Warlocks this weekend? If so, which show are you going to? I'll be at the Troubadour on Saturday. It'd be nice to see ya there.

Ohhh, also, if you wanna see The Futureheads on the 19th at The Troub, buy your ticket now. Last night, my connection there told me it's gonna sell out.

I'm going to TRY to go to the Warlocks show on Sunday-- but I have SO much crap I need to do, I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to go up to LA. But, maybe Sat., I can make it. JP & I were supposed to go-- how much is it for Sat? I swear, there's like 2738947239 things going on this weekend, Tribe's playing on Sat., the Buzzcocks on Sunday but I'm so NOT in the mood for another festival especially one where the Offspring crowd is going to be at.

On the 19th, I'm going to see Blonde Redhead. No if's/and's/or but's about it! I rather see them on the 20th because AUTOLUX is opening for them, but I can't go then. So, the 19th it is.

Ooops, I meant the 20th. Futureheads are playing on a Saturday.

I'm just jealous you guys may get to see them play this weekend. Seeing as that I'm a moron I completely missed them playing at the Empty bottle last friday night here in Chi-town. Man am I pissed.

Well if it's any consolation I had an excellent day.

I was up early for a job interview in the city and then I spent the rest of the day spending my income-tax rebate cheque in trendy clothes stores. Then I walked up to the West End book dealers, bought this brilliant Victorian book on architecture, published 1887 with great etchings and pen-and-ink period drawings (BEST PREFACE EVER BTW - sample passage "If, therefore, sending this book out into the world should give the contented apathy and hopeless ignorance of the reader just the slightest peep into Knowledge, I shall feel I have done something towards helping uncultivated beings to enjoy great moments of Art"). Then I went for a walk along the Kelvin river in glorious winter sunshine, popped into Subway and then came home to listen to Cpt Beefheart.

I dunno, I'd quite like a suede effect scrotum. Just without the draw-string.

Doh! Still can't go on the 20th.

I wish I could be in 3 places at once. That'd be awesome. I'll call you if I decide to go tomorrow okay?!

Okie doke. I'll be in North Hills for the better part of the afternoon through early evening and probably head down to West Hollywood from there. No sense in driving all the way home.

Ok Sunday's out for sure on the Warlocks because I just got some free tix to the Donnas, Von Bondies, & Starlite Desperation on Sunday... I'm going to try for tomorrow's show though.
