So I looked out my bedroom window an hour ago to see what my dog was doing and he decided to do something very naughty. First, he chased a bunny out of the backyard to protect our fortress, but then I noticed that he went back into the bushes after that to eat not one, but two of the mother's baby bunnies right in front of my eyes. :(

My Monday officially sucks now.

Holy crap! Oh my god, I can't even imagine watching that. Our dog, Max, is a murderer too. His preference is birds, though.

My collie once killed a dove whilst trying to play with him.

He is a bird of peace killer.

Animals didn't used to kill each other in the old days. What's gone wrong with this world!!!??

I blame video games, television and liberal parenting.

The wife's old half-blind dachsund did this a few years back, at her folks' place. But instead of it being a yard-bunny, it was a pet bunny... her sister's. Somehow it got into the room where the bunny was, and the fuzzy old instincts took over, and god what a mess. She was a wreck for a week after that.

We don't talk about it anymore.

There's a huge raven who hangs out in my backyard. He love to play possum for my dumbest cat. The cat always falls for the ruse. The raven sits in the middle of the yard with his back to the cat. The cat tries to leap at it, the raven flys into the air, then divebombs the cat and scares it shitless.

Not a smart cat. I've seen the raven do this at least 10 times.

Dude, those rabbits are just parasites eating your well-tended garden.

Look, just because they're "cute" (and even that is subjective), doesn't mean they deserve to be protected.

Just pretend it's a chicken. Or a tuna. Or a cucumber.

bunnies!! WHAT A PUSSY!

my dog is a veteran monitor killer

Image

they be about 2m long and have teeth and claws as sharp as fuck, and hunt baby Australians for breakfast.

My dog is this 14 year-old, almost corpulently spherical 85 pound golden labrador with blunt teeth and a loveable demeanor.

My dog Bean injured a opossum a couple of years ago in our backyard. We caught him before he finished the job, but the poor thing would have never made it. Unfortunately, my husband had to finish the job with a shovel. Ick.

I had to do that with an ex-girlfriend who turned into a vampire once. Indeed, ick.

I grew up in a house that sat at the edge of a pond and one day our Golden "retrieved" a dead beaver from its banks. That was icky as well.

When I first got my parrot (Effie), my Rotty (Gabrielle) hated her. She couldn't stand to have another animal in the house. She would bark at her and stuff but for some reason, she never tried to eat her. It's as if she knew the bird was part of the family.

A few times, Effie would fly around and happen to land near Gabrielle but nothing would happen. Gabrielle would sniff at her a little, maybe paw at her a bit, and walk away. Of course, I would always scream "GABRIELLE, NO!" at her so maybe she knew better.
