JACKO'S NEW ALBUM FLOPS IN US

MICHAEL JACKSON’s latest greatest hits album has sold just 8,000 copies in its first week of release Stateside.

’The Essential Michael Jackson’ limped in at 128 in the charts, and is the singer’s first release since he was cleared of child abuse on June 13.

The two-CD album shot to Number Two in the UK charts but in the US, Now 19 proved to be the biggest selling record, shifting 436,000 copies in its first seven days.

Jackson has sold more than 135 million albums during his career.

’Thriller’ sold 60 million copies alone, while his last original album ’Invincible’ has sold two million since its’ release in 2001.

HAHAHAHAHA!

I think this has a little less to do with him being a freak than he just came out with a greatest hits package like a year or two ago...that's much "better" than this one.

this his like his fourth greatest hits album. does anyone NOT own his first 2 or 3 solo albums? shit who needs to get introduced to his music this late in the game (and who wants to, considering recent events)? I bet he is throwing a fucking super-sized fit about this, too. he'll go into seclusion for 5 years until someone stupid enough to lend him their kid comes along...

I think 8000 copies is still a lot for those "ESSENTIAL" best of discs anyways.
