Here's Sadie, the latest and the greatest of them all.

http://www.obner.org/bb/album_pic.php?pic_id=128

Saved her today from the Anti-Cruelty Society. 5.5 months old, they think she's a border collie mix. Totally calm, good in the truck, incredibly shy, hasn't barked yet, and it's been a good 12 hours.

A very good 12 hours.

Awesome, man. My wife and I are thinking of rescuing a dog after spending a week with my brother-in-law and his dog. I forgot how much I like having some canine companionship. She looks like a great dog.

She just walked over to the door with a, "if you've got the time, i could really use the bathroom right about now" look. So I let her out, and she traversed the three flights of stairs with much more grace than she did some hours ago, relieved herself, and then we started to go back up, but she stopped and went back down. Turns out she was sitting by her leash, which had fallen out of my back hip pocket when i was sitting down, but I didn't even notice. So she's got this, "you might want this, dumbass." look on her face. I pick up the leash, I tell her thanks, and then she follows me up the stairs, and sits expectantly by the milkbone box. What could I do? I gave her a milkbone, and now she's sleeping in her bed at the foot of my bed.

Too fun.

I think 'puppy' is stretching it. It's nearly as big as you are!

Bravo on saving the dog, Phil.

12 pounds? Her head is huge! She's gonna be a big doggie. And by the looks of it, very sweet too. Congrats, Phil, on becoming a new doggy daddy! Border Collies are great -- my friends here in Scotland have one. Her name is 'Bonnie' and goes mental everytime she sees cows or sheep on the road. Her natural instincts make her wanna 'round 'em up'!! Ha!

Thanks guys. And Tania, her head isn't huge at all, i'll try and get some better pics where my head looks tiny because it's 3 feet behind her head because i'm sitting on the low-rida couch.

We've had a pretty fun morning too.

I should have done this a long, long, long time ago.

She just had a bath. It was fun, and she seemed to dig it, just laid down in the warm water, then rolled over onto her back. She looked like a doggie version of the Calgon commercial.
