oh yeah!

it's the album i learned to drive to.

i spent hours just riding around blasting this album.

the beastie boys hold the record for being my MOST favorite band for the longest time. from when i was in the 6th grade until my sophomore year in college.

I have told this story, but yeah, Bloor and another friend of ours turned me on to this album one night when i was in 11th grade...and I didn't get sick of listening to it at least weekly until like junior year of college.

Dig up the "Paul's Boutique Reference Encyclopedia" or whatever the fuck its called to see all the samples and what the fuck they are talking about.

I love it, but "Check Your Head" is my favorite Beastie Boy record.

great album, haven't listened to it in years.

my only complaint about it was how some revisionist history sprung up about how it changed the face of hip hop. but that's not a fault of the album, just journalists.

at any given time, any of the first three Beasties albums is my favorite of theirs.

3 Minute Rule is still my favorite Beasties song

A friend bought a boat years ago and named it "High Plains Drifter."

think how many more great records we would have if sample clearance was as easy now as it was back then....

that's why ghostsface's (and lots of other creative peoples) best songs are left on mixtapes.

I really need to hear this. That samples list rivals some industrial albums.
