That list of headlines down the right hand side of the page might be the longest list of insipid crap I've ever encountered.

Talk about "waste of bandwidth".

...and the writing of the Mondo Kim story just reeks of Earl Camembert.

I would tend to agree, except they confiscated burners, which means these people were probably manufacturing the cdr's.

Yes, but a 19 yr old record store clerk does what they're told. They're not the type of 'criminal' the RIAA should be targeting.

Better them than us.

I mean, c'mon, they were selling them. If they were giving them away like most people I ahem allegedly know ahem, then that'd be different.

They were selling mixes, not pirating complete albums. Jail time seems a bit harsh.

screw the RIAA! - oops! I didn't say that(looks over shoulder)

I thought the headline below was amusing...

Quote:
The Clientele Discuss Upcoming Album

Rob Kleckner reports:
The Clientele are currently on tour with labelmates Spoon, and while they've enjoyed the experience greatly, Alasdair MacLean tells us the bands have very different audiences. "I think our music is very different from theirs and our audience is quite different as well. I think you can tell who has come to see who very quickly. The more studious looking fellows with books of poetry are there to see us, and the young ladies dancing about are there to see them. But I kind of want to swap audiences with them in a way..."

Jessica Suarez reports:

When did Pitchfork start employing Latinas? I think I might have to start reading it, especially if the Latinas's individual year-end top-ten lists resemble those put down by the Tejanos that Chuck Eddy gets for the Pazz n' Jop poll.

That shit is twisted.

But who's going to buy the album if the one good song from it is on a mix? And the record companies and RIAA know this...

Hard to argue with that. A fine would be fine.
