nomar should make the all star team for idiocy. turning down 60 million dollars didn't seem like a very good move at the time, but now with the groin tear, he'll be lucky to sign for half of the 8 million he got this year. what a boob.

How does Cesar Izturis get so few votes when he plays for the team with the second highest attendence?

Because people are dumb and only vote for "name" players, not based on what their stats are.

Enough of this "it's the fan's game shit." Take the voting away from the fans and let the ballplayers or managers decide who is deserving. At least then we would be more likely to get a true representation of who is the best at each position.

letting fans decide this sort of thing is like letting idiots vote for president...sure, you could do it, but the results will always be distasteful to those that actually have done the research and know what's up.

I still can't believe that Bonds has 138,000 votes.

Didn't Sandy Alomar, Jr., make the All-Star team three years consecutive to start his career because he had one All-Star caliber year in '90, and, further, since people probably confused him with his brother?

Yup.

He did.

That is still the worst, in my opinion.

James O. Eastland applauds you from his grave.

The correct answer in this matter is: Who the fuck cares? It's an All-Star Game.

First point is valid. Second point is proof you are either 1) not of this world, or 2) projecting your own ineptness onto Joe & Martha Six-Pack. If you had said Pudge was more deserving in any of those years, that would have clinched it.

Who should have started in '91-92 anyway?
