Don't know how long this album has been out and must have missed any earlier threads, but I'm just hearing Isidore songs today and love them.

Cain of Remy Zero teaming with Kilbey of The Church and the results are what fans would expect - ethereal mixed with delicate, very sophisticated, cryptic lyrics, the more swirly-ambient end of the Church.

Is this an old-ish release (like last year) that slipped me by or is it considered new?

Last year is not an "old-ish release"! Jeebuz, it's that indie hipster "that is so yesterday" thing all over again.

Look, I just found out about it...appears to be November of 2004 I got my copy, and I think I only learned about it a month earlier (Ice magazine, I believe, is the one that turned me on to the Kilbey Konnektion, which is what I bought it for). I still prefer proper Church tunes (and some Kilbey solo). Getting a little bit tired of his side projects.

Ha that's the only song I've heard

I always presumed they were a mid 90s alternarock band transported into the present.

Dusty, I'm the furthest thing from indie hipster you can get. It wasn't a value judgement. It was a simple question. As in "has this been out for awhile, if so, it certainly didn't get much press."

David Sylvian, Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, Durutti Column, Trash Can Sinatras, Elbow, Ed Harcourt, Low, Aztec Camera, Crooked Fingers, Go-Betweens, Dolorean, Mazzy Star, Blur, Radiohead, The Verve, Doves, Eels, Nick Drake, Finn Brothers, Turin Brakes, Stars, Psychedelic Furs, The Ocean Blue, The The, The Blue Nile, Love & Rockets, Peter Murphy, Spacemen 3, Bauhaus, XTC, Echo & The Bunnymen, Talk Talk, Joy Division, A Northern Chorus, The Decemberists, etc.

But vocally, Kilbey's voice falls under "Kilbey."
