I've finally discovered the wonders of ripping and copying DVD's. Everything I rent from Netflix I can now copy and keep. Dunno why it's taken me this long to figure it out.

I'm using:

G5
Mac The Ripper: for ripping
Roxio Popcorn 1.0.2: copying

anyone else doing the same or similar? what's your procedure?

I use DVD Shrink for the ripping/Compression
Nero for the Burn..

PC: Burn-at-once may support this. Haven't tried it with a DVD writer.

i do the same, but in some cases i have to use DVDDecrypter (r.i.p. -> broke sony's latest copy protection) then use shrink after its on my HD.
