Has anyone heard this?

Its like an old soul/funk record with modern day beats. It's pretty cool listening to it so far (3 tracks in).

Interesting review at Stylus

The dude's a pasty white IDM muthafucka but sings like a black soul singer. Warp's been strange this year, releasing some stuff that strays quite far away from what their known for (Maximo Park wtf?)

Im not quite sure I like it yet, it's gonna need a few spins first.

Also, the beats are alot more straightforward his being on the warp label would suggest, but they fit i suppose.

let's just say that i'm losing faith in Warp Records for releasing crap like this and maximo park.

they need to hurry up and release the rubber johnny soundtrack, as well as the new boards of canada. that might save them.

At least this guy has one more IDM type record before this, so his being on Warp is less fucked up then Maximo Park.

the cheese is what got me about it. i was like "wtf are warp thinking about releasing this?". it has a few moments, but overall....

maximo park was there attempt at releasing indie bands, due to the massive interest in dancey indie such as franz ferdinand and the futureheads.
