This is the dude I was trying to think of earlier. Anyone like him/them? I guess they're really lo-fi but that song Credit is pretty catchy. I'm downloading the rest of the albums now.

Downloading now. I'm looking forward to hearing this.

Lemme know what you think. I just listened to it again on my computer and it sounds a lot better through my headphones.

I've listened to one album, I guess the most recent. It was good, but, despite the lo-fi-ness, overdone (or just ambitious) in some ways. Definitely worth another, much closer listen.

I've listened to both The Doldrums (first album) and the latest one.

There's a handful of us at work that like this--the others actually seem to quite dislike it.

The production is really low-fi (he makes his own 'explosition' sound effects), but I find it very endearing.

I find the songs to be very catchy, despite the weird production (or lack thereof) and the meanding Syd Barratt-like song structures.

The newer one sounds quite a lot like the older one from what I've heard of it so far.

I thought the first album was decent until I saw him live, opening up for the Animal Collective. I'm not one to usually walk out on bands, but this was some uninteresting contrived bullshit. It was painful to watch.

The funny thing that night was when Ariel was blatantly hitting on my friend and talked shit about the Animal Collective, calling them an emo band and questioned why the kids loved them so much. After finding out that she was married, he got up and left mid-conversation. Weird dude.
