...are fuckin' magic.

Just got home from seeing them for my first time ever. It's been awhile since I've listened to them and had seriously forgotten how much I enjoy their music. And, dude, I never realized just how fuckin' young they are!! Sheesh!

The new stuff sounds great and has convinced me to buy their new album. Sadly, I didn't stay for the encore (have an early seminar tomorrow and should be in bed already) or stick around to meet them, but am hoping they return soon.

Anyone have the new album? What d'ya think of it?

first off, that's brilliant that you got to see them live T!

everyone already knows that they're one of my favorite bands, and the new album is holding the #2 slot for album of the year for me. perfect record for summer, with gentle songs, and just the right amount of quirkiness. they've mellowed in their old age a bit [:)], but that's fine with me.

i sent the new album to quite a few people a month or 2 ago...i thought i sent it to ya T. anyways, definitely grab it!! if you can't find it, PM me.

I forgot to mention -- there was a special guest in the audience...Mr Steven Morrissey. He appeared to be there alone and was later accompanied by a friend. He looked good.

i saw the coral on saturday and found them, once again, to be boring apart from the singles. it's like they know they're a singles band and put everything into those songs, even live.

maybe they were better last night, though.

hey how was west indian girl? i'm totally trippin out because i found out this chick that used to hang out with us back at the lake house is the front lady of that band.

there were like 6 shows last night in la, it drove me crazy... but i was at the faint/bright eyes (yeah yeah yeah shut it). NEVER again will i ever go to a show at the grand olympic auditorium. so. fuckin. hectic.

I've been dying to see West Indian Girl for a long ass time. Much to my disappointment, they sucked and were so terribly boring. I like their album, but it was sheer torture listening to them last night.

Dude, I could've told you about the Olympic Auditorium. I dunno why they insist on having shows there.

oh so now you tell me! well, i went w/joe & kelly... rarely do i get to go to shows with joe so that's why i didn't bother with the other shows.
