JACKO PLANS HUGE PARTY

MICHAEL JACKSON is reportedly planning a private party for selected fans to celebrate his freedom.

Earlier this week the pop singer was cleared of ten charges, including molesting a 13 year-old boy, giving the boy alcohol, and conspiracy to kidnap. If found guilty, Jackson faced up to 20 years in jail.

The LA Times reports that an invitation only event is planned at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, close to the Neverland ranch.

A spokeswoman for the casino said: "We don't know who will perform; we're just told the Jackson family is putting together an event for fans they have selected.”

Jackson has yet to make a public comment after being cleared of the charges.

I can't believe he can afford to throw a party. Isn't he just about broke now?

It's a potluck. I think this party is gonna be more of a wake vs a celebration. I mean, really now...wasn't this court case the nail sealing his career's coffin?

This thing happened sometime last week. Tito apparently entertained the 100 person crowd on guitar.

No word on whether there was a keg or not but I suspect no since apparently Michael thinks kids like wine more than beer.

Shoot! I just checked my mail, and I had gotten tickets!

I wonder how Tito did playing to such a huge crowd.

Michael Jackson's party, where the beer flows like Jesus juice and the children flock like the salmon of the Capistrano.

I foresee a big, new push on his part to get his career going. I think he takes this as some sort of vindication of his bizarre lifestyle, and maybe the legal debt will be the the final straw that motivates him to go out there and earn some money again.

But I don't think the buying public sees him as anything close to "vindicated." It's like knowing what a nutjob Cruise is, and then trying to enjoy him in a movie... I can't imagine Michael has much of a chance to be widely accepted anymore.

Except in Greece.

well his career is still pretty big in the rest of the world, i seem to remember. I know he was peeing his pants trying to play live8, but they're trying to steer clear of that whole thing.
