that was actually Nebraska/ASU, followed by Tulane/Baylor. Two absolutely classic games with great combacks and finishes. If you're not a fan of college baseball, wake up. This makes the NBA finals look like Pakistan vs. Bangladesh cricket.

You'd be right. I have watched some highlights of cricket, though. I should have added "from my perspective" at the end.

I was disappointed Nebraska was eliminated, especially now that Baylor eliminated Tulane. The Huskers dominated Baylor during the regular season and won the Big 12 title game against them. I'm still happy the Huskers won a game in Omaha, but it sucks that all but two of their CWS losses ever have been by 1 run.

Sic 'em Bears!

Best part of the Baylor comeback was that dope Harold Reynolds proclaiming "this game is over" in the 2nd inning, with the score 3-0. What's it gonna take for ESPN to cut that guy loose? And, how many college baseball games has he seen in the last 5 years to begin with? Fool.

That Nebraska-ASU game was insane. Nebraska goes into the ninth inning down 5-3. Takes a 7-5 lead after a RBI single by Gordon and a 3-run homer by the freshman Gerch (with his dad - dying from cancer - in the stands). Goes to the bottom of the ninth with a two-run lead. Arizona State gets runners on first and third with no outs. Diving catch in center followed by a doubling up of the man who was on first (all while the man on third tagged up and scored), leaves the score 7-6 with two outs and nobody on. Nebraska decides to pitch to a guy who already had 2 HR's in the game, and guess what? He hits his 3rd Homer and we go to extra innings where Nebraska loses in the bottom of the 11th.

Unbelievable game!!!! As a Husker fan, it was a huge roller-coaster ride as I listened to the game at work, but still a great game to be a part of.

And then Baylor comes from 7-0 down to win 8-7!!!

What a great CWS this has been already.

I heartily disagree with this statement. Harold Reynolds has been doing CWS games for years and he is a very good announcer. I will have to admit, though, that it is ridiculous to consider any college baseball game over before the last out.

Being a White Sox fan as well, I can't stand this guy... so a little of this is personal. But, like you said, it's crazy to say a game's over in the 2nd when it's only 3-0! I can't believe anyone who's considered an 'expert' would make such a claim.

The whole Baseball Tonight crew needs to be put to pasture. Where are the solild announcers this network has like Jimmy Dykes or Bob Carpenter? Let's get them to Omaha.
