Has anyone seen this? It was pretty good. There was also a nice little sequence of a car chase with a Muse song playing. Very well done.

I don't get to watch movies anymore. I just rent them, let them sit near the dvd player, and then return them a couple of days after they are due.

The alternate scenario is that it makes it into the dvd player, and we fall asleep in the middle.

Isn't half of this dubbed from French to English, and then the other half just in French but with English subtitles. Did they just dub half of it and then say, "Screw it, why bother?"

Yeah, the beginning was dubbed and all of a sudden, the subtitles are inserted halfway thru the movie. It was still good, but it would've been so much better if it were subtitled. I never understood dubbed movies.

Initially, I heard a lot of good things about it in the online world...but when the reviews from people whose opinions I really value ( I'm talking critics here, not people I "know" ) started coming back almost universally negative I lost interest in seeing it.

Plus, if I'm gonna see it I wanna see it in its non-dubbed, non-edited-to-get-an-"R"-rating form.

I saw the unedited all subtitled version on dvd awhile ago. It was great up until the last 15 minutes or so, though there was some great gore after that part.

Chris, what'd you think of the "twist"?

It was some of Chubby Checker's best work.
