wow. I just talked to my son who is three weeks shy of 8 and found out from him that he had his first kiss today. "on the lips mom!". Oh my.

Apparently him and a girl a year older that he pals around with had a friend of hers block them and they stole away on the playground at their summer care center and had their first kiss. It was funny how he told me that she complained she had some of his slobber in her mouth. LOL

I think it's kinda cute and funny and the way my ex was reacting you'd think he just pulled a gun on someone.

When I told him he really should wait a few years before kissing girls he asked me" you mean I can kiss them a lot when I'm a teenager? COOL!" oh my oh my oh my

I thought it was funny and had to share.

awwww. that's cute. :)

my friend's little boy (who is 8) had a little admirer in his class this year.
apparently the teacher had to move this girl's desk because right in front of his and the girl wouldn't pay attention in class. she would sit backwards all day staring at him. ha ha.

Oh. They remain icky. But, after a certain point, men have certain urges that compel us to wade into the ick.

he's 12. 13 in october.
the new school he's in is a very liberal hippie school. it's a tight knit group of 30 or so kids and since he's been there he's developed platonic relationships with girls which i think is great. all of these kids are outsiders in one way or another and have become a close supportive group. it's all parent supervised and seems okay so far. stay tuned...

the disturbance is definitely that he's arrived at the door of teenhood.
i'm not naive but am being guided by my instincts and a healthy mixture of faith and fear.
i do not interrogate him but i pay very close attention.

I was ten I think. He was two years older then me. And I vaguely remember afterwards hanging out at his parents watching some KISS made for television flick on the tv.

His name was Wayne Steel. Years and years later in high school he went on to date one of my best friends for a little under a year. I was actually rather jealous. ha

That was KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park, and Busty has it on VHS.

Once again EFu has made me laugh loud enough to be heard from the street.

edit: It's either Busty or my sister. One of 'em has it for sure.

I remember watching this when it first aired. They changed the lyrics to "Hotter Than Hell" to "Grip And Destroy". The whole thing was really gay.
