Which heavily hyped artist of 2005 am I venting about below?

Well I am writing primarily for an American audience so I adapt for the masses. Actually I need to swat up because my aircraft carrier knowledge is soooo 1980's.

Ugh. Useless. I'm going to bed.

I'm forced to give a clue. I mentioned an aircraft carrier in my spiel. Aircraft carriers spend most of their time in the water much like the title of the groups album.

Short of spelling it out I've done all I can do. Please someone get this in the next 6 hours.
