Did anybody watch it last night? Broken cheekbone...ouch!

Anyway, it looks like their job this season is to film a documentary on SXSW. Should be interesting.

The cast seems okay. A bunch of clueless kids doing what they do well, but the jury's still out.

I missed it, and am still kicking myself. I'm sure I can catch it on a re-run 198 times this week/weekend, though.

From the previews it looks craptacular...can't wait.

Yeah, the first episode was pretty good once they got past the intros. Usually the real good drama begins around the 3rd or 4th episode of the season. Not in Austin. The cast came ready to fight...or get their asses kicked anyway. :D

I'm still a committed Real World fan but a sure sign that you may be getting older: I used to want to drink with the dudes and bang the chicks; Now I want to maul all the dudes with a claw hammer and bang the chicks only if they will shut the fuck up.....

I watched it... Christ, I can't believe I'm admitting that! ;)

Yeah, looks like it will be an interesting season. First thoughts:

Nehemiah - seems like a normal dude, hope he doesn't get caught up in all the drama with the ladies in the house
Danny - good looking guy, dig the Boston accent, but apparently only has eyes for sticks with big boobs and straw-like hair.
Wes - yes, kinda frat boy-ish, but he looks like he could be fun to hang out with.
Melinda - WHORE! Promise ring, my ass.
Johanna - serious insecurity issues, but I found her much more attractive than Melinda
Rachel - Seems kinda normal, although I suspect a bit of 'tude will surface soon
Lacey - What in the hell is she doing there? Seems like a nice girl, but at the same time, there doesn't seem to be anything controversial about her.

I may not agree with her lifestyle, but I will fight to the death to defend a fellow Wisconsinite. Except -- ironically -- for the band the Promise Ring. Those dudes suck.

Good Got-damn, yes. She's ethnic, and so, my dick's thick just thinking about her.

She's the melanin-impaired Jacquese, or Melanie (from Philly season) without the need to be right: a steadying-influence, but one that can still stir up shit by being, like, man, y'know, so uptight.

What is it with you boys from Philly? A friend of mine, named Tim, who's so Philadelphia he says 'wortar', almost got arrested in Chicago for trying to break into the Real World house. And you've made it a goal to miturate on as many RW houses as you can. What gives?

I agree. I felt bad for him when Johanna started pulling on his shirt at the bar, and then getting blamed by Danny for getting his ass handed to him.

He's very hot and it's typical that the only eye candy on the show gets his face punched in in the first episode.

Ugh. He reminds me too much of Abe from Road Rules. And the whole frat boy theme is lame.

Totally agree. She's so fake and is definitely auditioning for a role in the new Vin Diesel movie. She's so obvious.

She totally started the whole mess at the bar, but I like her. She had a very touching scene with Danny at the bar earlier which made me think they can make a cute couple.

Very cool so far. I liked how she accompanied Danny to the hospital when the girl who supposedly has the hots for him stayed home.

She's odd and she'll definitely be the outcast and the one who may leave early.

if didn't become a theme until after the second one. the first was sort of coincidental. nonetheless, the real world irks the everloving shit out of me. Well, the people that end up on the real world, maybe. no, it's the show in general.
