Apparently, they showed a trailer for it on one of the major networks last night. Did anyone see it?

edit: you can watch it here.

Too bad this isn't an appreciation thread about the Frank Zappa song. I love that one.

...and when the hell are moviemakers going to stop with the remakes and start to actually sit down and come up with something. Is there anything left to make a movie about? No more types of characters or situations left? Sigh... Maybe so...

That is such a blatant ripoff of Mighty Joe Young.

On a related note, this film festival looks pretty cool. I wish the timing were different as there's no way I'm spending 4th of July weekend inside a theater.

yeah, but when you're disappointed by everything, all you can do is relish in the lesser disappointments of life. it's a give and take.

and no, not yet. i'm one of those late box office boosters. also, i feel like shit. maybe i'll go during live 8.

I'm waiting for one of the major studios to just go ahead and announce that they've ceased production on all new movies so that they can focus full-time on pointless remakes

oh no doubt. but i'm a world-class uncle. seriously, as long as it's in 2-3 hour intervals i'm like a regular clown n'shit. hence my buying hundreds of children's DVDs for my down time.

booze usually impresses me. and arrested development. and peckinpah.

Even though zombies ain't right, I have a feeling that Land Of The Dead is brilliant.

I've been told by several fans of zombie movies and horror films in general (both good and bad) that Land of the Dead is pretty worthless.

And I guess I'm going to have to admit now that King Kong doesn't look so good, either.

One of my roommate, who's big into horror movies, said he liked Land Of The Dead. I'm guessing I probably will too.

You people are retarded. King Kong looks awesome. Plus, Peter Jackson directed it.

Mighty Joe Young was Charlize Theron, but I get the two confused as well. What happened to Gretchen Mol however, was that she was a poor actress and stopped getting decent roles. According to IMDB, she hasn't been in anything recognizable since "Get Carter," in which her role was not even credited.

IMDB says she was in a few tv shows, that David Kelley Girls Club atrocity among them, and then some other movies that don't look particularly interesting. She's also supposed to be playing Bettie Page in a biopic by Mary Harron (American Psycho).
