so, we got our band listed on allmusic, but it was only a basic listing with song titles and clips and stuff.....no review....

i know they get tons of stuff, and not everything is gonna get an actual review...

anyone with any experience with these peeps? is this record destined only to have a listing and no actual review, or do sometimes other writers may hear the record, and submit a review?

can we submit a review for thier consideration to be posted?

just curious.

I know they don't have a review for Say Hi to Your Mom yet. I was surprised to see that the other day. This indicates to me that it either takes a while to get reviewed on there or it is somewhat difficult.

I've sent them info before ( corrections, etc. ) that never got posted. For what it's worth.

Riviera is on there. I know that they went through Glorious Noise though. So, that's all I know.

they have so many things to review they can't get to them all. try contacting one of their writers or section editor and submit to them a review. dont get your hopes up.

katie, what would it take for you to become one of their reviewers considering your status as a trusted national scribe?

I have offered them my unparalleled expertise on The Broken Family Band but they just aren't interested.

We got a review over there, as did Paper Airplane Pilots and Olde Style.
But I think Matt went through GloNo, too.

i would do that if i were you. If your stuff is good enough for national pub (i dont like to mention company names anymore 8) ) but why couldnt you have (possibly trimmed down) versions of your reviews on allmusic?

also keep in mind that they use allmusic writers/reviews for things like BMG.

UhhhhhHmmm (insert Bloor lecture about getting paid while you can)
