So who is doing what.

I know now from threads that Spade is going to Seattle and Locky is touring the wilds of Florida.

Anyone else got exciting plans?

Me? Saturday day shop and read, then Saturday night my husband is playing a solo show at The Horseshoe on Lincoln.

Sunday we have a bday party for a friend's kid. And sunday night we're going to entertain a couple friends on my dad's terrace which is huge and faces the lake and Grant Park so we can watch the fireworks. And drink a few drinks.

Monday? Sleep. Not do a damn thing if we can help it.

Friday - i am tired as fuck - probably work at home, take the dog for a walk, maybe go to a movie

Saturday - maybe grill up some animal flesh at my house and have some friends over - also need to do some lawn mowing

Sunday - get up in the am, drive to Seattle, go to Mariner's game, then go out for some dinner/drinks in a TBD spot

Monday - hang out in seattle, check out some fireworks, shop

Tuesday - hang out a bit more in seattle - drive home

stay the hell away from live8. go swimming in the Chesapeake. eat some sweet corn. maybe brawl with my extended family. in short not much.

Friday - Leave work at 1.. then a bunch of co-workers are meeting for drinks with this intern here who wound up getting a pretty big writing gig out in Seattle. Always dug her.....dang...

Sat / Sun - no plans.. dinner with my uncle one day.. maybe movies....

Monday the 4th - out to loing Island for a BBQ

Next Thursday, the 7th....I goto the Dominican Republic...woot!

Friday - not much, maybe go shopping for Saturday and Monday
Saturday - have some folks over for mutual friends' birthday cookout
Sunday - maybe a long bike ride
Monday - brunch at friend's house, then probably stay home with the hyper-neurotic pups while fireworks go off on our street

No doubt....I'm getting the fuck outta town for a day or 2...

Other than that just the typical BBQ..

Cleaning out the detritus of my bedroom: nsurance statements, loan statements, from upward of six months ago; old newspapers and magazines.

Maybe growing a pair and asking that bomb-ass cashier at the local maxi-mart for drinks.

In other words, the usual, for mid-summer.

someone sent me something about how the Linc has 1200 bathrooms for a 60,000 capacity. They're expecting a million+ at the parkway and there's gonna be 440 portajohns. there will be a river of shit flowing between the art museum and the academy of natural sciences. which means my girlfriend's gonna have a great time getting to work.

Friday- get out of work at 1, run errands, fight traffic to LA and my friend is taking me out. Probably just do dinner, art show, etc.

Saturday- possibly the beach during the afternoon then heading out to the Fuck Yeah Fest in Echo Park (bunch of bands playing at various venues) with the boy, hit up the afterparty- gonna be drunken shenanagins.

Sunday- don't know yet, probably more drunken shenanagins.

Monday- tradition w/my crew is we set off fireworks in Silverlake, and watch the fireworks from the view my friends have of Downtown LA... but since they don't live at that apt anymore, not sure what we're gonna do. Probably still try to set off some fireworks.

Nephew's birthday.

Don't get me wrong, the nephew is cool, but I don't want to deal with the other people that'll be there.

Friday: Last night began San Pedro Day celebrations, so I will probably go to the carnival in town (think rides are scary in America..think about the Guatemalan equivalent of a carnie...ay caramba! and drink some beers from paper cups
Saturday: brunch then beach, then San Pedro day fishing tournament weigh-in and work
Sunday: LOBSTERFEST!!! Take boat over to Caye Caulker for massive amounts of lobster and beer--the most fun you can have with butter all up your elbows...sleep on the beach if all ah we are too drunk to drive the boat back over.
Monday is not a holiday here, but some of the expats will eat some bbq here and there.

How far is Indianapolis from Chicago? I'm curioussssss.

Haha. It's 3 1/2 hours, and I would think about making the drive if we had more than 2 days.

I'll be working split shifts through next Friday. Boss is away at the base closing hearings in Boston and I've got to do his job. But the kids are visiting relatives, so there'll be some time to be out and about.

Friday: Have no idea what time we're getting out of work. Doesn't really matter cuz my commute home will be a bitch and a half. Stop at Trader Joe's for a couple bottles of wine and post drunkenly on Obner in the evening.

Saturday: Sleep in; do my bi-monthly visit to the hair stylist; consider going to Fuck Yeah Fest but probably won't go cuz I feel like being lazy.

Sunday: Attempt to organize my bedroom and closet; buy brew and fixins for a homestyle BBQ on Monday.

Monday: Attempt to organize my bedroom and closet; BBQ; be anti-social and not hang out with the neighbours cuz they're lame; hang out with the other neighbours in evening for sparklers and stuff cuz they're cool.

Saturday---driving 12 hours with 2 kids and 2 big dogs from Salt Lake to the Dalles, Oregon

Sunday---driving 3 more hours to Cannon Beach, OR to spend a week with family. Should be good.
