Am I the only one who saw this last night? I doubt it. I didn't want to support Cruise, but I'm glad I did. This is worth your time and your $9.50.
Highly recommended for the special effects alone.

As a general rule, I don't watch remakes, special effects movies or soundtrack movies, and that's before someone like Cruise, Keanu or Sandra Bullock throw their ugly mugs in there.

I saw it and thought it was really good. It wasn't amazing but it was good.

I don't see how this can be even a fraction as good as the Orson Welles radio program.

Katie: did you know I have a date tonight? Her name's Jon.

Is that Jon with the Spanish pronunciation of the J?

I saw it last night. Wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. And yes, the ending was weak. I could see myself watching the movie once more for the effects.

I have no interest in this film whatsoever but I've recently developed H G Wells fever. The Invisible Man is finished and The Island Of Doctor Moreau is the next in line.

Loved it. Spielberg made it feel like you were actually part of the story.

Those aliens still creep me out a day later. I wanted to punch them all in the face. :x

War of the Worlds completely makes up for the wackness that is Bewitched. That movie was a total waste of time.

A few months ago my brother-in-law lent me a book that had all his speculative fiction. Great stuff. Guy basically invented the entire time travel and alien invasion genre.

It’s gay to go to the movies and sit in the seat right next to the guy you came to the movie with. The rule is that there is supposed to be a seat in-between you and him at all times unless seating capacity dictates that you must move towards each other one seat. If that is gay, not having a seat in-between two guys in a movie theater, then how could it not be gay to put your dick in a man’s ass?

Don't even try sitting next to me.

Not sure if I want to see this.... I'm still trying to see Land of the Dead. Apparently last weekend when I tried to see that, my friends made me walk out 10 minutes into the movie because they freaked out and thought the movie was going to be too scary.

One thing good about a small town: the dinky little mom & pop theater down the street has a $3 Sunday matinee. No blowing $9.50 at Hoyts for me. Plus a large popcorn is like 2 bucks.

Next town over at the mall I'd spend more than 50 bucks to take the family to the movie and buy food crap. The theater here in town, it'd be like $20.

Men Like Gods is an interminable snooze. It's nothing more than Wells' utopian political philosophy with the barest hint of a plot dripped across it.

Other Wells stuff muchly good.
